Stone and mosaic portfolio ideas for design students

A portfolio project can begin with a space, object or visual question. Show the brief, context research, pattern sketches, material samples and the reason one direction was selected. Photograph the sample beside a scale reference and record colour or texture changes under different lighting.

Include critique, revisions and a note about cleaning or maintenance. If a project refers to a cultural symbol, historic site or community tradition, explain how you researched it and who reviewed the proposal. State whether the work is a sample, finished decorative object or installed surface; these are not interchangeable claims.
