Decorative glass and structural glazing are different scopes

–

Decorative glass art focuses on visual composition, colour, pattern, light and crafted form. Structural glazing serves a building function and must meet requirements for its specific location and use. The fact that a decorative panel looks strong or has been used successfully in one setting does not establish that it is suitable for another.

If you plan artwork for a building, identify its purpose and involve the qualified professionals responsible for its specification, safety review and installation. Label your design samples clearly. Do not use a student portfolio or workshop description as proof of building compliance.
