How scale and balance change a metal sculpture concept
A maquette helps a designer see whether a sculptural idea reads at a particular scale. Place it at eye level, view it from different sides and compare it with the surrounding space. Photograph the model in context so the proportions can be discussed with people who were not present during making.
Record the centre of visual weight, the intended viewing distance and any places where the form feels crowded or unstable. A small model supports visual discussion; it does not establish full-size structural stability. Do not use it as an engineering calculation or installation approval.
