What to include in a metal sculpture portfolio

Illustrative scene of learners exploring Metal Arts & Sculptural Fabrication in a bright studio

A metal sculpture portfolio should make the idea and the decisions easy to follow. Include the brief, references, sketches, scale model, material questions, critique and final photographs. Show the work at more than one angle and include one image that explains its size relative to a person or familiar object.

Describe your workshop activity accurately and state which tasks you completed under supervision. Follow your institution’s safety and privacy rules when you take process photographs. Note what you would test, refine or discuss with a technical specialist next. Do not claim structural competence because a sculpture you made stood during a display.
